We will be working on a queen sized quilt. We have two colorways available - warm or cool colors. This is another quilt by Nicole Chambers. Templates are not required for this quilt, but you may use them if you have them.
Here's how it works:
There are four different sessions of the Sampler Club - the 2nd Wednesday at 6:30 pm, the 2nd Thursday at 9:30 am or 6:30 pm and the 2nd Friday at 9:30 am. At each session, we will introduce the block for that month and give you helpful hints on the construction. We will also let you know about new products, classes that are coming up and other quilt-related information that might be of interest to you.
At the first club meeting that you attend, you will buy a kit for $10. It has the fabric and pattern to make the block in which ever colorway you choose. You supply the feature fabric and the background fabric.
Go home and make the block. Bring the finished block back to the next Sampler Quilt Club meeting on the 2nd Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the month. Your next kit is FREE!
There are a few conditions:
If you want to make the sampler quilt in both colors, go ahead. You only get one block free each month, you must pay for the other one.
To get your free block each month, you have to bring your completed block from the month before to any one of the Sampler Club meetings and sit through the demo. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please arrive on time. Late arrivals cannot be admitted. When you arrive and show your completed block, you will be given a ticket. Put your name on the ticket. After the demo, the ticket is exchanged for your free block and your name goes in the door prize drawing. You must be present to win.
If you can't come to one of the meetings on the 2nd Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the month, you can buy that month's block for $5.00 (while supplies last.) Bring the completed units to the next month's meeting and your next kit is free. Important: If you miss a meeting, come in right away and purchase your block so you can have it completed for the next meeting. (Otherwise, you will have to buy two blocks - one for the current month and one for the month you missed.)
These blocks will include the same fabrics or suitable substitutes each month during the year so they will all match.
Please, for the comfort and well-being of others, we ask you not to wear perfumes or colognes to the meetings. NO CHILDREN at the meeting, PLEASE!
